Is Bright Bridge Preparatory a special needs school?
We are not a traditional special needs school. Bright Bridge Preparatory is a transitional school designed to support students with learning differences and help them successfully move toward a mainstream educational environment.
What kind of students thrive at Bright Bridge Preparatory?
Students who thrive at Bright Bridge Preparatory are those with strong potential who may need additional support due to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, learning delays, sensory processing challenges, or other developmental differences. Our program is designed to help each child reach their personal best and build the academic, emotional, and social skills needed to transition successfully into mainstream education, independently and without the need for a full-time RBT.
When did Bright Bridge Preparatory open?
Bright Bridge Preparatory opened in 2024, marking our inaugural year. Despite being a new institution, we are backed by 33 years of experience in specialized education.
What does education look like at Bright Bridge Preparatory?
At Bright Bridge Preparatory, we provide a specialized education shaped by a commitment to personalized learning. Each student receives a unique program, designed in collaboration with parents, therapists, behaviorists, and academic personnel.
We believe that all children need support in their development to grow cognitively, physically, and emotionally. Classroom instruction is provided at a child's cognitive ability level and supported by experienced educators in a one-to-one or small group setting. Our curriculum includes core subjects along with tailored support to meet each child's individual needs.
What is the main focus of this Program?
We focus in helping our students develop the skills necessary to transition into a mainstream classroom setting. Students in our Program receive academic instruction at their grade level in a supportive environment that promotes holistic development. Our goal is to prepare students for a successful transition into a more typical classroom setting when they are ready.
How is progress tracked and communicated to parents?
Student progress is monitored through ongoing assessments, including STAR national testing, academic benchmarks, and therapist input. We provide regular updates through parent meetings, written reports, and open communication.
What is the student-to-teacher ratio?
We maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio, typically 8:1 or lower, to provide highly personalized instruction and support.
What does a Bright Bridge Preparatory Certificate reflect?
The Bright Bridge Preparatory Certificate reflects a student’s successful completion of a personalized curriculum, showing growth, readiness for the next step, and progress measured by national assessments like the STAR test.
Can students re-enter traditional schools after Bright Bridge?
AYes. Our goal is to prepare students for successful reintegration into traditional school settings when they are ready, both academically and emotionally.
How does Bright Bridge Preparatory support the families of our students?
We aim to serve not only the students of Bright Bridge Preparatory but also their families. Does Bright Bridge Preparatory offer on-site therapies?
Yes, we provide on-site therapies through a partnering therapy company that accepts insurance. These services are scheduled to ensure they do not limit the academic development of our students.
What scholarships does Bright Bridge Preparatory accept?
Bright Bridge Preparatory accepts Step Up for Students scholarship. Please note that we do not work with Medicaid or private insurance at this time. We understand that each child's needs are unique, and we tailor our services to meet those individual needs.
What ages or grade levels does Bright Bridge Preparatory serve?
We currently serve students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, with plans to expand as our students grow and our program develops.
